Kim, Yushin was born to the nobility Seonggol-princess Manmyung and father Kim, Seo-hyun of the nobility Jingol after they went ahead with eloping in the midst of an extreme objection to their matrimony from the royal family. Kim, Yushin was a man of character who was good at martial arts from childhood and gained confidence from anyone with his considerate mind and unflinching attitude toward principles, let alone his charisma as a boss man.
Yushin, who came to know that Deokman was a princess after he met Deokman who became Hwarang by the mandate of Heaven,
supported Deokman to fulfill his enormous dreams of the unification of the three States till the end and so did Deokman come to have faith in Yushin.

The greatness of Queen Seondeok lies not in the fact that she gained the throne as a woman , but in the fact that she chose Kim, Yushin and Kim, Choonchu and surrounded herself with these two men ,who had achieved the first unification of the three State in our history.
Viewer can realize that the drama “Queen Seondeok” develops the process of rising to the throne into the process of her getting elites other than the victorious process of struggle for power.
This drama makes its viewers feel the real aspects of the ancient Silla society together with deep impressions by showing the strength of the leader who had Silla, which was once the most powerless State among the three States, successfully unify the three States in the end after embracing people who had different opinions from hers and deserted this world and even those who were undeniable enemies into her inner circle.
